e-Learning for e-Services

Our e-learning center is just the place to increase your knowledge about e-services and e-business. It is also a place to increase your potential for success - as an individual and as an organization.

This e-learning site has been developed with both the expert and those new to the subject in mind.

If you are just getting started in this exciting area - you will find plenty to keep you coming back time and time again.

As a NEWBIE: you will even find that there are special sections devoted to you like the one at the bottom of this page.

As a matter of policy we like to encourage more people to learn about e-service management and development. Increasing expertise will raise standards and help us reach the goal of becoming a knowledge based economy all the sooner. A knowledge based economy is of particular developmental significance to many of the world's poorer communities.

It doesn't matter whether you are looking at e-services from the perspective of a small to medium sized enterprise (SME), a large government agency or an entire country! You will be able to increase your understanding of strategy, architecture, development, tools, projects, usage, methods, best practices and so much more.

So dig in and explore.

Here's what you'll find in the e-Learning Center

You'll find a whole array of e-learning courses.

Each e-learning course has been designed by e-service experts from around the world. Many of these world class courses are absolutely free.

Each expert is committed to selling his expertise to you by providing an overview of their specialist knowledge and understanding.

They achieve this by delivering a welcome package of free artifacts - White papers, learned publications, e-books experience profiles, case studies, FAQS, e-learning courses, etc. All of which are assessed by e-service-expert.com staff and peers before publication to ensure they are of the highest standard.

Sign-up for free courses at our e-learning center now! In addition, each expert registered with e-service-expert.com is committed to helping develop and cement a long term relationship with our e-service-expert.comm clients through the engagement and collaboration tools made available to them. We call it getting to know you. This is Free Consulting by experts. All you have to do is pick an expert, book them, arrange a meeting or nominate some work, engage and try before you buy.

So if you want a personal walk through of a training course, a small piece of work or want to meet one or more members to solve a trick issue you might have - simply book an expert.

What then?

If you wish you can undertake more advanced courses for a modest price independently of your expert or trusted adviser or engage your expert adviser for more significant pieces of work. This could be an on site training course, consultancy, project management - either off-site or on-site or a mixture of both.

These are just a few examples to whet your appetite.

NEWBIE: Steps to becoming a specialist One of the best ways to become an expert is to join a forum of experts - like e-service expert.com. You will find hundreds of forums for all manner of topics scattered across the web. For example if you wanted to become an expert in

But of course whatever you chose to specialize in there is no substitute for learning whether it is online or offline. However try to do this in a structured way.

Here are a few tips to help you learn to become an e-service expert.

  1. Relax and learn
  2. That's right - just relax and you will be ready for learning. But don't over do it. You can come back as often as you like - a little and often they say. Adopt the Tortoise Approach - as the old story goes it beats the hare in the race to the finish.
  3. Identify your specific need
  4. In order to limit the breadth of the discovery process - narrow it down, be selective to precisely determine what outcome you are initially looking for. It is not necessary to learn everything in one go. It is far better to develop a strategy and track it through to the end. Go deep in one area before your go wide. On this spine you can then add the bones and flesh related to your needs. It's a bit like reading the Chapter details in a book before you start reading in depth. You will find plenty of step-by-step strategies to help you.
  5. Adopt the Selective Zulu Principle
  6. The Zulu Principle says - if you read the four books on a specific subject, e.g. Zulus, in you local village library - you will be the village expert. If you read the extra three books on Zulus in your town library you will be the town's expert. At which point you might find a couple of books on Zulus at the city library that you haven't read - read them and the couple of books at the national library - and hey presto you are the national expert on the selected subject of Zulus. So become the expert in e-services for primary health care, government tax agencies or some other narrow topic. This will be the step by step frame on which you can broaden your knowledge. Get started ... read all about a country's strategy here...
  7. Consult an Expert
  8. A few good words from an expert can save you much effort - find out what they are concentrating on at each step of the the area selected. You will have plenty of opportunity here to hear what the experts are saying and even get to meet them, so engage with the experts - they're standing by.
  9. Collaborate and build from there
  10. Ask an expert to do a little work for you, get to know them and meet with them online. As they get to know you and you them a powerful relationship of mutual learning, sharing and development is forged. Maximize the opportunity
