Building a Rapport Portfolio
Building a Rapport Portfolio So you have completed your three step process for becoming a Service Provider. You've posted a fantastic profile and perhaps already have your single sign-on to the Work Center and all its excellent virtual consulting tools. Does that mean you can sit back and wait for the work to roll in...? Not if you want to be successful! There is one last thing you need to do...an it's ongoing and that is to create what we call your Rapport Portfolio. So what is a Rapport Portfolio? Imagine you are an artist (you are of course) trying to get your next commission what might you do to promote yourself. First you would collect all of your previous works and pictures, sketches and the like and assemble a portfolio of your works. Then you would probably walk around town to galleries, companies or prospective customers and show them you portfolio, you might even leave them a small gift - a sketch perhaps. Well! You can let e-service-expert do the walking, but YOU must provide the portfolio relevant to your skills and expertise. After all, your future customers are going to be putting a lot of faith in you to deliver what they want and they probably don't know you at all and may never meet you face to face! So you must appear Attractive to your future clients. Here are e-service-expert.com's Golden Rules for Virtual Consulting

Getting StartedBuilding your Portfolio Start by spending a few days assembling the free or discounted resources or artifacts ready for your Portfolio..don't worry you can add or refresh them later...and we suggest you continuously add to your portfolio. Constantly refreshing your portfolio and adding new artifacts will increase your chances of building a rapport or relationship with your ultimate clients. Don't forget it often takes approximately 20 visits before a client has enough confidence and trust in you to engage your services. That is why rapport building online is so important to the virtual consultant and your portfolio should keep them coming back time and time again to see and follow you and hear what you have to say....and ultimately to engage your services. Submitting your Portfolio Artifacts In the first instance, email us with details of what you wish to place in your Portfolio and we will send you instructions as to where to send the various files. How do we handle your Artifacts Links to your artifacts are posted in various parts of e-service-expert.com; but most importantly right next to your Pen Profile providing a valuable tool to market your expertise to potential clients as they are looking for Service Providers to fulfill their Service Requests.
